Short project summary
RELATE WELL project is a 24-month initiative funded under the EU’s CERV (Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values) Programme, specifically addressing Priority 3: Targeted actions for the prevention of gender-based violence, including cyber violence. The project aims to prevent and combat Cyber Dating Abuse (CDA) and gender-based cyberviolence among adolescents (approx. 14-18 years old) by fostering healthier, more respectful online relationships and promoting digital citizenship and gender equality. It targets not only adolescents themselves but also parents/carers and professionals (such as educators and youth workers) who support them.

Main Aim of the proposed project
To prevent gender-based cyberviolence (GBCV), specifically cyber dating abuse (CDA), among adolescents by strengthening digital literacy, promoting gender equality narratives, developing resources, and building capacity among key actors.

Expected results – output of the proposed project
Adolescents will benefit from increased digital literacy, a deeper understanding of consent and healthy online relationship dynamics, and improved capacity to recognise, respond to, and report CDA. They will be empowered with knowledge and skills to challenge harmful gender stereotypes prevalent online and navigate digital interactions more safely. Professionals and parents will benefit from enhanced knowledge, skills, and confidence to effectively prevent CDA, identify warning signs, support affected young people, and use the practical tools (online course, toolkits) developed by the project.
