The envisioned programme will thus have a three-pronged approach: Component 1: Personal Coaching for women to enhance their personal leadership skills; Component 2: Targeted upskilling and re-skilling workshops for women; Component 3: Creation of a supportive network among participants.

Main Aim of the proposed project
The overall aim of the envisioned capacity building programme for women’s entrepreneurship in is to encourage and promote women’s participation in the labour force. In line with OECD studies, strengthening the participation of women in the economy creates a spill-over and multiplying effect, leading to overall sustainable economic growth and poverty reduction. In addition to creating a space for learning especially for women the programme also seeks to raise awareness on available effective approaches to work towards eradicating gender inequality. Taking a holistic approach to address the needs of the beneficiaries and ensuring a more inclusive society, the project will seek to:
1) Enhance participants’ leadership skills and self-confidence through personal coaching;
2) Promote economic independence and entrepreneurship among women through specific upskilling and re-skilling workshops;
3) Develop a supportive network among participants.
The programme will be implemented through a mix of coaching sessions and interactive, practice focussed workshops. The coaching sessions will comprise not only group sessions during which beneficiaries can engage in peer-to-peer learning and build their professional network, but also individual sessions. These regular individual sessions will allow participants to speak to a mentor and develop their own individual action plan over the course of the programme
The thematic workshops will impart profound knowledge on matters of leadership; project management; human resources; stakeholder engagement and inclusion; psycho-social support & mental training, as well as on fundraising & marketing.
